
Gale was just 18 when she was crowned the winner of a modeling contest in Perth. After modelling for a few years, Gale became famous in 1999 when she was featured in an advertisement campaign for Omnitel which is now Vodafone Italy. She appeared in their advertisements until 2006. The Australian Tourist Commission also hired the model in 2003 to serve as"Australia's face" in 2003 "face of Australia" to be used in Italy. Gale has been featured on the covers of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in the editorial pages of Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has modelled on runways for Italian fashion houses such as Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo and has also worked on runways on behalf of Mariella Burani as well as Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. Gale is also a devoted fan of numerous Australian fashion designers, including Colette dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. She was also the Fashion Analyst for Australia's TV awards in the year 2006 (the Logies). Gale announced in January 2008 that she was retiring in fashion after 15 prosperous years. A few weeks later on, during the unveiling of the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, Gale walked for one last time down the catwalk. Her final outfit she donned Wonder Woman's dress from her Justice League of America movie but it was never made. Gale shut down the Alex Perry 2011 Melbourne Fashion Festival in March 2011. Gale was celebrating her 10th anniversary at David Jones in August 2011 and was awarded the longest contract for fashion in the history of an Australian. Gale was a spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris the same month. She teamed up with Beyonce Jennifer Lopez Gwen Stefani. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
